Was there a movie?

My family got Bill the book for Christmas. Great book - had to order it from a store in Oregon - don't know how much (I thought that would be rude).

Ah yes. I think I have a copy that I made back when they aired it on TV!
I'll see if I can find it and "burn" a VHS copy. I hope you don't mind commercial editing by a 14 yo. kid.:D

Yes they made a movie but I didn't think it was very good. I would rather read the Don Aronow book if I can find one

Some of the boats are cool, One scene was filmed in the showroom of the late Aronow factory building. You can make out the Aronow logo on the boat. Mostly B actors.

Yeah, me too

I have never seen it, I think we should have a "viewing party" for the locals, and we can make copies at the same time, Tim brings the master copy, everyone brings a blank tape, and we sit around eating and drinking while making copies, Can do it at my house in Boca.

Funny you should ask. New Years day I was looking at my tapes to try to find an old Key West tape that my girlfriend wanted to see and I found where I taped Thunderboat Row from Television (it was a TV movie) I haven't watched it in a long time, but it seems to me that Chad Everett was the Aronow character. If I can find someone up here to make some copies, I'll let you know.

Terrible movie! Yeah Chad Everett was the big star.
It was like the screenwriter had a whole bunch of tidbits of info and boat knowledge, threw it all in a bag and pieced together a story. I'll give it one star for the laugh factor.

Sean 01-06-2004 02:53 PM

i'd be interested in getting a copy if someone was so inclined...i'll gladly pay expenses...

not bad considering only 10% of that number is registered on OSO.
Figure that 35% of the registered memebers wil l want one.
Sounds like a heck of a deposit on a Skater or Outerlimits.
Not to mention the 36 Nortech :)

105mph_38_2003 01-06-2004 08:39 PM

so only 1,110 copies to sale and you can have a new boat;)

I'll will gladly buy a DVD since I sold my VCR to Hyper:cool: :D

They aired the movie on either TBS or USA sometime last year....

robyw1 01-06-2004 08:42 PM

I'm telling you would get a lot of returns. Those who haven't seen this movie it doesn't do powerboating justice. It had a budget that rivals that of a porno.
