Nice Shot Brian! I loved that race... if it weren't for that darn plane crashing on the beach.

Good news - Not. Not only limited to 28 LOA but limited to 28' total length. That means no 28's with aluminum swim platforms attached. That eliminates a lot of boat options. I think that the ticket is a 28 Donzi. It is 27' 7".
Any more thoughts on this boat in the rough stuff?

Donzi 28 in the rough

Not even in the same leauge as the top rough water contenders in the 28 foot range. This is first hand ,been on the boat in some 3-4 footers and it's not fun! If somebody thinks they can prove us wrong, bring it on.

I have to agree. I tell tantrum " nice Sonic you got there" ...... Man does that burn his ass. . But they are totally different. I been on tantrums 25 AT and a few 26 sonics and you cant compare the ride.
The AT is much better boat hands down.

The Sonic's need the tabs down to keep from porpoising while the AT ran smooth.

sorry js- the only thing they share is the walk-around idea on the deck. The Sonic is 28' including the molded-in swim platform, so it's really the same as their 26.
The AT is a true 28', and believe me, there is NO comparison between the two in the rough.
If you're looking at the Sonics, I think it's been said by many a Sonic owner on this board- buy the 26.

This is her , If I dont find my "dream" 28 , I'll be alright with keeping her and doing some serious mods..
