What new occupation would you consider?
Sitting here in a job that I really don't like anymore... Great pay, benefits, beautiful campus, just don't enjoy getting up to it everyday... and now I'm reporting to kids!!! I'm in my late 30's!!!
What realistic occupation or business would you consider starting over with???
If I'd stayed in the Coast Guard, I'd be retiring this year!!! Wow!!!
Anyone else dreaming out there???

I feel the same way, I'm designing automotive components and I'm pretty bored, but it's hard to leave a good job. I've been considering civil engineering, I have a good connection in the field, but i don't know if it will be any better just something different. What can you do work sucks

Good one Craig.. Never looked at it that way...
I would love to open up a High Performance Marine Shop kinda like Doller Offshore. I am mechanically inclined and boating is my passion. It's something I always wanted to do..

The grass is always greener...I advise to relook how good you have it. I was always disgruntled when I worked at a nationwide wireless carrier, and since then I haven't had the same pay bennies or freedom I had there. If I could roll the clock back I would have done things WAY differently.
The only other things I'd like to do would be to work as a tech in a performance boat or bike shop, or playing my guitar. Number 2 is rather doubtful, unless I get an A for effort.
