Default 42 outerlimits vs. 43 nortech

looking for information on these boats from people who have actually been in them. how do they compare in handling rough water. how about quality, speed and resale of each. they both are awesome boats. just trying to get comments of actual testing and experience with each.

Nice choices. I've been on the 42 OL and a 50 Nortech. These are probably the two best manufacturers today.

Flip a coin, they are both great boats.

OSO is proud to announce that Nor-Tech has just joined our list of advertisers this week, Outerlimits has been one for a while. Nor-Tech and Outerlimits both have Owners Forums if you are interested in talking with current owners.

They are going to be close on price as long as you know how to work a deal. You won't be able to find anything wrong with either one. The OL will be a tick faster with same power. The Nortech will have a bit more room in the cabin. If they were cars the OL would be a BMW M5, and the Nortech would be a 500 SL Benz. Both companys are great to deal with.

Thanks Dave 1972.
Comparing only the 42 OL and the 4300 Nortech
Both boats are at the top of their league. Mike does an awesome job, always pushing the envelope on the speed side, awesome paint jobs, trying different materials and laminets and offering a comfortable 6' cabin and well layed out cockpit. Speed is their market place, and do the best job at it.

Tron's customers might be slightly less reserved, not always wanting the 1200-1500hp and staggered configurations trying to squeek out the last mile or two. The Norteck is about 1500-2000 heavier, slightly wider, and offers an excellent ride, especially in the ruff stuff. The extra room is noticed in the cockpit width and length. The quality of materials is about the same, but the attention to how the seats feel on padding as well as stitching is better. The three tiered dash with carbon fiber inlays looks awesome, its just not a flat panel with paint. The hidden storage compartments and bottle trash cans are nice ideas to. The cabins are the same with the exception of headroom, slight nod in 6' heighth farther on down in the Nortech, and the headliner is far superior, no wrinkles. The sexy lines of this boat without even paint look great. They also offer cats and now yahcts..And lastly price and resale, its hard to beat.

These are just my observations when I bought, (comparing 2002 and newer only) not trying to start a war, or a he said she said.. Both boats are awesome, and seriously, I would be proud to own either one.
