The failure of the Apache name to produce a new boat is what has kept the prices higher than normal. I am sorry but "next" and that boat from Phoenix with new Chief 1000's and 6's selling for well under 100k is proof of what I am saying.
Gotta agree......the twin step Top Guns have done nothing to help the older straight hulls....and if Steve's boat is as good as he says it is......I dont believe the prospective buyer is going to buy the old one.....this is not to say that they wont always have value....but it is not going to help them in my opinion.............

Agreed. You have to have a financial cushion built in to your offer because there are no warranties for these boats.

Exactly! By definition, if they aren't selling, then they are priced too high.

The market will determine what a boat is worth, not the for sale sign on it.

For instance, if I put a $100,000 price tag on my 1981 20 foot Formula, does that make it a $100,000 boat?

Don't get me wrong, I think the Apaches are fantastic boats, but they are worth exactly what the market will bear.

IF A BOAT IS FRESHLY REDONE...INTER,PAINT,RIGGING,DRIVETRAIN THEN THE MONEY CAN BE COMMANDED...BECAUSE WHEN REFURBING ONE OF THESE MONSTERS IT CAN COST AS MUCH AS THE ASKING PRICE:eek:

YOU CAN GET A NEW 41 OR 47, NOT BY THAD EITHER...BUT IT WILL COST YOU...A 41 PROBABLY 600K AND A 47 CLOSER TO 900K

How would that compare with the price of a new Tiger?

Not trying to compare the two boats, just curious on how it woud stack up pricewise.
