I ride my bike with PanOptixs, they are great at highway speeds. Foam cushion and they adjust for day and night riding. I have not tried them on the boat, but I am sure they would be great. You can usually get last years models on Ebay for a 1/3 off of list price.

I just did a search on ebay for "PanOptixs"... no luck.

Check out the Swap-it and the Blast designs that Zeal Optics has. They were a sponsor of ours back in the racing days. Not well known, but they really make a great product and stand behind it.

The VARIA PLUS lens are the day/night lens. I have a copper lens in one pair and it is not to bad at night, but not as good as my pair with the Vari Lens

I have probably tried a dozen different goggles, sports sunglasses, etc. Most worked well enough but were either severly expensive or suffered from some other deficiency. The BEST solution I found about a year ago were a pair of plastic protective glasses sold at Home Depot for $7. They make them with clear, polarized, and colored lenses. I am not talking about the dorky looking ones that are square on the corners. There are others which are more streamlined. They have a semi-goggle appearance but not quite that bad. Since they are "protective eyewear" they wrap around your face minimizing exposure to your eyes. Obviously, minimizing exposure from debris also minimizes exposure from wind. I bought five of them for $35. You lose them - no big deal. You break them - no big deal. They are extremely comfortable, work better than anything else I have tried, and cost the least. If you doubt this - spend the $7 to try it.

I find that if you tie a bandana around your head, over your eyes it will keep out both the wind and excess sunlight. I recommend removing the bandana for close in manuevers.

I use the wrap around Oakley's and they're great for keeping the wind out. For night running I bought the snazzy clear carpenters goggles at Home Depot...

I checked on the Guard Dogs last summer, but realized if I pay anything over $20 for a pair glasses/goggles they'll last about a week before i either lose them or break them. The cheap ones seem to hang around for years....:cool:

I bought some bombers and they work great and are much less than gaurd dogs. I don't remember the web site though.
