Water in carb float bowl maybe, remove it how?

I think I might have sucked some water up into the carb float bowl. Besides taking it off and dumping it out, is there a way I can do it, like remove the fuel line, would that drain it out? Stick paper towels down through the butterly's? Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated? Thanks......Russ

Take it off and drain it. Less work than trying to do it an "easy way".

What kind of carb? And no, sticking paper towels down the venturi isn't going to help.

thanks, guys. It's a Rochester, it has the Merc fuel/water seperators. I'm going to swap them out to the "Racor" units that have the drain plug on them and the exchangeable filters.
