Check this bad boy out.....F650 Crew Cab Dualley. Cat Diesel, Class 5 Tow hitch. The big daddy of Tow vehicles.
One of these can be yours for only $80k or so. All the toys inside. Can seat 6 adults in the rear bench, or so the ad says. Saw this in Power Boat Magazine this month. www.F650pickups.com Bad azz truck ! |
I would go with the low-pro and 5 wheel. That one is bad but to high for a 5 wheel.
|
Put a lift on the trailer:D You just need two, one for a 5th wheel and one for a straight hitch.:D
|
I'll have Myco build me a trailer thats up on 40 ground hoggs. The DOT guys wil love me.

John,
No offense, but I think GM took a wrong turn by utilizing the Van cabs for the new 4500+ series. The prior models years with the truck cabs like the Ford above look much better in my opinion. How does the interior room and comfort compare to the old ones? getreal - Sounds like a deal, but it would have to be my daily driver - how's it do around town? ;) -Brian |
Now that is what I'm talking about.
We might be looking into one of these if we are to be hauling the Fountain to some of the poker runs we want to do. The truck I have now has pulled everything I ever put behind it but I think a 47SC might be pushing it's limits. First comes the house on the water though. |
This truck is great for a daily driver. The turning radius is better than most cars. Because of the front-end design and a straight axle the wheelbase is 2” shorter than a standard pick-up. It’s easier to park than a F-250. The biggest boat I’ve towed so far is a canopied 37’ Talon with blower motors that we race in PX on the west coast. The boat came out of the water at 12,500 lbs. plus the trailer weight, the truck stops on a dime. I can’t imagine any size trailer boat being a problem.
I bought it with a Power Stroke because to cost of more power and repair is a lot cheaper than a Cat, with an Allison 4 speed auto I get around 14 mph. The ride is the same a lifted 4x4, next week I’m putting on an air ride system. |

Most of the Ford fleet dealerships can put one of these together for you. Here is an F-750 that was on a dealers lot 2 years ago when we were shopping for our F-450. That 750 was a brute!

If price were no object, I think that I would go for an F-650 Supercrewzer. It has great lines and a nice finished look to it. It will also handle a bumper pull, 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer.

We had the use of one of these through a promo deal for a race a few years ago. It was one awesome truck. It towed that Top Gun like a regular pickup tows a row boat.

Brian, I had the body built because I needed storage room. It did away with me bringing a equipment trailer to the races. The bed is long enough to hold two of my Harleys. The body has plenty of room left for everything Else. The cab is more than enough for 4 adults. The trucks turning radius is better than my 04 crew cab daully.I 've got a 04 4500 4x4 Topkick coming .Thats why I'm selling it so cheep.
