had a designer faust kohler i think that had one of those heads that you could pull out and use as the sprayer then stick back down in the holder. over time the liner inside the fexible steel line got twisted and when you used the hot water it would get soft and partially close resticting the water. i took the hose loose from the fixture and water supply and held it straight and worked it back around untill you could see clear through the line. Had me affled for couple months.

Thanks for all the replys. I'll let my wife know where to start looking for the problem...
The faucet is relatively new. As a matter of fact, we intalled it because we were having the same problem with the old faucet. We thought we might as well upgrade to a fancy new model and here we are 3 years later in the same boat (see this thread actually is boating releated).
I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but I bet it's a mineral clog. We have really hard water that leaves deposits everywhere.

Plumber here,
1. Who is the manufacturer of the faucet?
2 Is it only the hot side?
3 One or Two handle faucet?
4 Hand held spray head?

Once again thanks for all the advice. Here's what happend:
I called Moen and they said it was probably a cartridge problem due to mineral deposits, etc.
Moen sent new cartridge.
I installed new cartridge.
No change.
Still broken.
I call plumber.
He finds that hot water valve under sink is disintergrated.
He replaces valve and cleans exploded valve guts from pipe.
Hot water now rages freely from tap again.
I pay plumber $85 and a cup of coffee.
I vow to get wife book on plumbing to avoid problems in future.
