500efi or 525 efi whippled- which is better?

want to repower and get reliable 650-750 hp which engine will work better. how do whipples work on each. how many hours can i get out of these?

525 has better rods.
The rest is primarily in the fuel system and camming.

Either way you have a very sound base for Whipples. Both are excellent motors, with all the best pieces in them.

the 525 also has edelbrock aluminium heads

The alum heads make the 525 an excellent candidate-less worries about detonation= more potential boost.
HP500 EFI is probably the best bet cost wise though. I'm not sure of the $$ difference, but I'll bet it's substantial. There's a ton of these engines running with Whipples too. The Whippled HP 500 EFI makes close to 800 ponies. Either way, the Whipple is AWESOME.
