Anyone use alum. intake manifold is SW??

does anyone us an aluminum intake manifold in sw If so how long do they last???? Can I use one if I flush everytime I trailer my boat!! and I am putting in vortec heads I would like to stay with a high rise manifold!! What exactly is the problem with them anyway!!
