Tres, I was looking at your site and you have my favorite boat in the world. The Old Spirit of the Amazon, I was wondering what happened to it.

Very nice

Tres,

Great update on Will Lynch's(HOTDUCK) 45 Apache. Was wondering if you could post some pics of the bolsters and dash layout??? I will be attending Will's wedding 2 weeks from now and I am sure the boat will be discussed there. Keep up the good work.

Hey Dennis. What's going on brother? I am hoping that Tres is hard at work (:D), so I'll take care of the pics you are looking for. This shot shows the cockpit layout with all 8 bolsters. The back two can be covered with a panel to make a nice big pad and still leave 6 bolsters. This picture was taken before the previous owner re-upholstered everything in red.

We are working on a plan to get a GPS/plotter flush mounted in the dash. This is one of the proposals. It requires moving a few things around, but I like this layout because it will still be easy to read everything and it is nice and symmetrical.

Thanks Bill. We got engaged a year ago this past Sunday, and boy has the last year gone by quickly! :D

I agree. It's going to be a great weekend. On another note, the first engine is in the Apache and they are working on the second. Things are looking pretty good!

OBNOXUS21 01-21-2004 06:58 AM

Are the motors NOT staggered in this boat? I always thought they were. Anyway, still the BEST cockpit configuration I have seen!!! Enjoy...

And congrats on the wedding :)

The engines are up and running. Now, just a few more odds and ends to wrap up. Tres has certainly worked some magic and is absolutely flying through this project. The boat looks the same on the outside, but she is all new inside! The latest engine pics pretty much look the same as the ones above, with the exception that everything is rigged. The headers, pipes and mufflers have also been polished and are now installed. Here are a few pics.

Will / Tres -

The 45 looks great! Always one of my favorite boats back to the time that Steve Baldwin bought it new. Glad you brought it back 'home' to Maryland Will! Congratulations on your wedding!
