found this donzi on ebay, damaged

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2456164541

what would it take to have it repaired right?? send it back to the factory or have someone do it? would this even be worth the trouble? if the price didnt go too much higher it could be in my range and i wouldnt mind adding to my donzi collection, what do you guys think, or should i be posting this in the donzi section??

I think it is funny that they state the "starboard" side is damaged... but show a picture of the "port" side.. makes you wonder just how extensive the damage really is.

At the top of the description there is a link that says "More Pictures" that shows the damage in detail.

Maybe some on here can go look at it ?

That looks to be some pretty serious damage. Must have taken quite a wallop to do that!

It appears to be only the windscreen that you can probably have Donzi sell you a replacement. It needs the fiberglass base and Lexan top.
A couple of bottom trailer dings, but I didn't see any more than that.
Better off having a surveyor check the hull for any delamination.

Check Donzi to see the cost of the parts and labor to install before bidding...;)

That boat is hammered! Certainly abused.
I think it was MUCH more than a hard landing based on the additional pictures.
There is no doubt the factory could fix it, but the boat mint is only worth about 45 to 50K.

I wonder what the real story is.

That's what I'm thinking Bryan. What would cause the hull to deck joint to separate like that? One hell of a bump eh??

USAuctions is a company that auctions boats for insurance companies. They have boats all over the country, and some are really good deals. I almost bought a Boston whaler dauntless 13 in good shape with a running 50hp merc for $1600 it was brand new and at the time those boats were $13k.... but in the auction situation someone bought it out from under me. The boat had been ran under a dock here on the lake I live on..... the driver had fallen out and a girl his daughter was paralized, almost decapatated by the dock. He should have had the safety lanyard on.

anyways they have som good boat deals sometimes.

I had someone from here look at a boat from them before. it was trashed beyond what the pictures could tell me. You need to see the boat in person trust me
