exactly what kind of "seal" are you asking about? CRE (Certified Race Engines) certifies and seals engines for use in APBA racing. these engines are spec'd to ensure parity and than sealed so they can not altered. once in a while you will see a 500efi for sale in the classified section that says sealed, this means the tamper proof lead stampings(mentioned above) are still intact. i'm guessing thats where your question stems from :cool:

So if you bought a CRE sealed engine, where would you look to verify it?

Call Innovation Marine, have all the numbers off of your motor ready and they can verify whether or not they sealed the motor and when.

I beleive there was one incident that someone had suspected one of the Fountain teams had tampered with one of their CRE engines. I can't remember what happened in the end.
