Missouri Real Estate Agents: Ranches wanted

Any real estate agents on the board into grass and ranchlands?
I am looking into the possibility of aquiring grassland in other areas to supplement our own.

I am not interested in small acreages. To be worthwhile, it needs to support at least 1000 A.U.'s with a long season ability.
I don't mind clearing and planting, if the locale is right. I'm thinking mid to southern Missouri. Future expansion in the area is also a must.

I am somewhat familiar with the West Plains area but would like something a little further north.

Anyone with ideas/contacts?
Thanks.

I wouldn't rule out South East Kansas as well!! Maybe around the Pittsburg or Ft. Scott area. Also maybe try around Nevada, MO. to keep things south a bit or then just north of LOTO around the Tipton area.

I've never been to West Plains, MO. but I can see that it is hard to get to and don't they have tons of hill's down there???? I know they do around Mountain Grove, MO.

I've seen somewhere that they had listing's of Ranches here on the net. If I come across it I'll let you know!!

Yes, West plains was pretty rough. You ought to see it when the dozers leave though.;)
Sometimes there are still diamonds left in the rough.
SE ks is getting too overdeveloped and pricey to have a REAL profit making ranch (at least the areas I've seen), but I don't rule anything out.
Great info, keep it coming!

TFLB: That's cool! I think youtold me that once, but my memory aint what it used to be ya know.;) I'll call you soon.
Big yellowcat: It's not the acreage as much as animal units. Has to support a bunch of calves.
We are thinking about building up a backgrounding/grazing operation in that area in order to prepare some cattle from the southeast US for shipment to our feedlot facility here in Western Ks.
Several of our customers do the same thing, and it seems to work very well.
