Are you lookin to buy new? Used? if so , how old? 90, 95, 2000, and lastly, what kind of price range are you comfortable with? All these factors play a BIG part on what you'll be able to purchase.

I love my Donzi, however if you want speed and do not care about cabin and overall room the Fountain would be the obvious choice over Donzi.
Donzi's are much wider, taller and heavier, thus need more power to go as fast. I would much rather have 9'3" width with a lot of people on board. A Donzi loaded with Fuel and people will not effect top end as much as the added weight will effect the Fountain's top end. If it is a rough day on the water the added size and weight is a plus over the Fountain.
Bottom Line: Fountain is faster than Donzi with same power

i agree...they are both well made boats, but the donzi is geared more towards comfort, while the fountain doesn't focus on the ammenities. still both are well built boats.

Why are you only considering these 2 brands? Many other well built manufacturers out there that will fit your needs.

But if you want a fountain...check out Too Old's 35 in the classifieds.

There is a Donzi dealer in St Pete Fla. that has a 2002 38zr that has never been titled that has 575's that should do 90+ MPH. It is in your price range also. I believe that is was only used once for a photo shoot. The ZR has no cabin and is the same boat that Donzi raced in the APBA in both F2 and Super Vee. If you don't care about a cabin there isn't a boat out there that can compare for the money.
