Why Vees cost less than cats to insure......?
Okay....How about this?
120 mph cat cruises consistently at 90-110
120 mph vee cruises consistently at 75-90
Most of the 120 mph vees I encounter are running mid 70's..... I'm cruising at 95-100.
Of course most 120 mph vees have a top speed under 95.
Just my thoughts.

I would like to know which boat would be faster in 7-8 foot seas. Honest 7-8 footers. A 40 Skater or a 42 Outerlimits. Just curious. T2x and others, what's your thought? Sam

mr_v maybe the lexusonly.com or jettaonly.com forums could explain that to you.
Jetta's might be more prone to theft since there are more of them on the road and parts would be more sought after, logic it out, all those companies do is analyze numbers and statistics of actual claims and assess future risk if your premiums are like that there is numerical evidence that back it. Who cares about car insurance here anyway it was not the discussion. My car insurance premiums are minimal compared to the boat. What next the difference between our favorite colors?
I'll stick with boats.

I am not really sure as I have only raced in that kind of water once. It was actaully a little bigger than that, but nonetheless the outcome wasn't to pretty.....
