I was a skeptic until I drove a 36 Skater for two years in SCL. The only time we were ever able to lap the F2 fleet or even some of the super Vs is when it was rough. What does that tell you?

i vote cats all the way. one thing to consider is the loss of a drive or engine at top speed in a cat. the drives are very far apart which can cause a severe yaw effect. at less than all out it may not be too bad but flat out could be scary.

I live and boat on the upper chesapeake bay. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 6 cats 32'+ that can run well over 120mph but I know of No V bottom in this area that runs even close to 120mph. Sounds to me there are very few V bottoms that can run those speeds safely or not
