Another point is twin vs.single turbine set up. 2 smaller turbines vs. 1 honker footwide Banks, twins are better. The little wheels spool so much faster and make the same boost. Just, way more bucks for the exhaust fabrication and dual inlets on the intercooler.
Actually you need to use as large as you can get away with. The smaller compressor wheels tend to whip the air causing excessive heat when they are spun faster than their optimal design. You have to find a happy medium. I'm telling you guys that the newer ball-bearing large shaft turbos with the proper A/R ratio for the application lag can be almost unnoticeable.

Because of fit and clearance issues I will build my own W/A intercoolers. It is not hard and I like mine better than any of the others I have seen. Besides it gives me a reason to weld

watch out for too much welding. please wear an apron and a dark thick longsleeve work shirt and proper gloves. If you could see all the skin cancers I get cut off my hands and forearms every year you'd not need my urging..

I refer to it as TiG-anoma.

Carb Gentry kit, notice the aluminum Gentry manifolds.

BTW, the owner has this engine for sale.

Both forms of forced induction can be made reliable if you do your homework! If you like Turbos, the system you need is the Gentry! This has been sold to a guy in Ca. The Turbo stuff seems to be a little more complicated than the Blower stuff. The ease of installation seems to be why Blowers are so popular.

What ever way you go be assured that you can make that Bravo jump off the back of your boat! It is now a fusible link!

Good Luck!

A pair of those GT marine headers and cast water jacked turbo and Tomcats intercooler and single carb setup would be a killer package and not all that difficult. The hardest problem of the exhaust is solved and the intake is allready out there.
