Lodging at LOTO
Going to the shot out this year and wanted see if you guy's had any recommendations on lodging. Stayed at Rock Harbor last year like the place but we're looking for something a little closer (PARTY COVE).

Try and find a place at The Ledges or Stone Ledges. That will put you right at the end of the shootout course, just around the corner from the highway 54 bridge, not far from shooters (one cover over actually) and basically right in the middle of everything. Plus, there are a lot of OSO'ers that stay here that weekend.

Do you know the name of any particular resort?
|
You want a resort or do you want to rent a nice condo??
|
Nice condo with a dock.

The Ledges or Stone Ledges my friend!! JawBreakerKid has a place at Stone Ledges. I've stayed at The Ledges a couple of times. Nice docks, nice pool right on the water's edge, and really convenient.

Thanks

Ledges is a really nice place to stay. Good docks. Quiet. Ramp with gas close by. Not much more to ask for.

If you want to be REAL close to the Cove, check out Lazy Days Condos. Right around the corner from the cove.
Haven't stayed at the Ledges, but I will this year over the fourth if possible. Lacy Days link: http://www.funlake.com/accommodations/lazydays/ link to guide including all kinds of stuff: http://www.funlake.com/ |
Lake Chateau is decent, inexpensive, and nice new docks. It is right by the bridge. I have stayed at the Ledges several times, it is nice but pricey.

Lazy days is a nice condo. They even have a ramp on site. It's a just a tad bit steep, but I guess some large boats have been launched from it. Lazy days is also right next to the cove so you'll always be close to the action. Be forwarnd, the place isn't the cheapest on the lake.
