Reggie Rules

After posting the last thread on the 35" Lightning reviewed in Powerboat...and looking at the responses; I have to thank everyone for thier opinions..it was productive...there are obviously boats in the size/class of cigs...and boats like Formula/Fountain type boats that have differences...mostly freeboard and length issues...Formulas used to be about the size of cigs but were streamlined....now that we have steps maybe the bigger boats rule now that steps can let them run up their with lower power requirements? Hope Reggie is listening to your feedback....and responds to consumer demand...I think a 42' Fountain which was parked next to a 38 cig are about equal in size...and performance probably too with similiar power...so there is a side by side test I would like to see....

Reggie is a man NO wait (THE MAN) that builds very fast boats. From your comments sounds like you dont even own a vessel that doesnt have to be rowed.

adam12 02-07-2004 10:56 PM

reggie is a scared little man who would not face outerlimits and had to have his own event by himself so he would not be embarrased. if this is your hero then it proves marketing really works and you believe everything you read, so you must be the perfect fountain customer!

My beak's bigger than your beak.... my beak's bigger 'cause it eats kenelration.....my beak's bigger than yours!

A 42 also has staggered engines and since 2' of the boat is 10lbs of beak the weigh close to the same. both bottoms are good so perf edge should go to fountain because of the staggered engines. Fountain makes a nice boat, but so does cig.

...so after much searching...and with those incredible graphics equal to the cig type we have grown to love...

.....anyone see that Fountain on the cover of January's issue of Powerboat Magazine? At first glance it looked like a Cafe' racer....

I don't think you realize how bad you are slamming Fountain. You make them look like they are trying to copy Cigarette.
