OT: Who's into R/C flying?

Hot Boat 02-09-2004 04:51 PM

I guess it was to windy out side

I'm just getting into RC planes. I got a small electric 3 channel Piper Cub Trainer
I few it twice and crashed it twice. Lets see if I can bring her home in one piece this weekend. Thank god for cheep trainer planes. It only cost me $16 if I break the fuselage. A complete plane with motor is $65. If I crash one a week it is still way cheaper than a hours worth of gas in the boat .

Tricky919 02-09-2004 05:06 PM

Nice Flying .........

glassdave 02-09-2004 05:26 PM

Three Days Only 02-09-2004 06:11 PM

That was amazing. I have been flying RC planes for along time. That blew me away. That guy has way too much time on his hands. Cool.

Crazyhorse 02-09-2004 06:16 PM

I used to do some RC flying before I started flying full-scale stuff. I've still got a couple gas RC planes in the basement, a Cessna 152 and a P-47 Thunderbolt, along with an 8-channel Futaba radio.

FunHome 02-09-2004 06:23 PM

The Guy looked like a KID!!

BOSSMAN 02-09-2004 06:59 PM

Cessna172 02-09-2004 07:37 PM

Great flying kid.

Cessna172 02-09-2004 07:38 PM

JROMY 02-09-2004 10:29 PM

skatermike24 02-10-2004 07:02 AM

I use to fly heli's but when my son was born it had to take the back burner, I will fly again some day.

CigDaze 02-10-2004 07:27 AM

Holy Chit!!!
That's just incredible!

I used to fly RC planes many years ago. It's been a while.

In college a group of us would enter the SAE model aircraft design and fly competitions for extra credit. I used to fly for the team...Kind of a test pilot I guess. :D

CHAOS REIGNS 02-10-2004 07:50 AM
