Originally posted by bojoe2 shane just had johnny & hanges they relocated to fair lawn on maple ave. 2 dogs all the way w fries w/ sace on them wow Everytime I go to NJ I ALWAYS stop for 2 cheese dogs all the way. I remember growing up and every Saturday night my father and would go to the "original location" on River Street. Back when Paul and his brother owned it and his mother worked the counter. I cannot remember her name off the top of my head but I'll think of it. Had to order a speacial way too. Fries first, then others (onion rings), then dogs. Our typical order was: A double french and ring to go with 4 cheese away!:D |

I guess it is all develpoed now. My buddy's father owned Manahawkin airport and we used to stay at his house there at the airport. The Dunham family. |
Shane - I just moved here last summer, so I don't know much of anything. When I was a kid, I lived in Linden (136) and we had a house in Bayville..any riding I did was usually at "OBM Pit."
If you can tell me where the pits were, I can probably tell you what's there now. I'm guessing it was part of what is now Ocean Acres development. |
I did some riding out at OBM bck in the day. Again like you are saying eveywhere I use to ride now is a housing development or shopping mall.
|

Shane, OBM pit was right across Rt. 9 from the office of the radio station WOBM in Bayville.
|
I have not been down there in awhile but there was a small track set up by some local mx racers back there. Rainman, remember Faro's(back behind the Dinosaur on Rt. 9 and Fisher's and Johnson's pits???? Man those were the good old days. I use to be able to access all those places from a trail at the end of my street. Unfortunately the Beachwood School now resides there.
|
so what about this party...i need to meet some of you guys.
