thanks from everyone for the efforts posting the pictures.

Yep, the Velocity 36 had viper V-10s in it and you are right, that was a mercedes motor sitting in their booth, didnt ask why though.

Great pics Mark you sure were busy on thursday. I wish you could have stayed a little longer.

Thanks for the pictures all.

You guys asking for pics of ladies?
Outside of the eye candy at the show itself, it takes serious nads to flash a camera in front of any chick in a bar because she gives good sweater. :D

Think like a perv don't act like one!!!

The surface drives were so far backed into the corner I couldnt get a pic. Awesome looking ride. I really liked the seats.

Thanks Mark. I crawled under the platform to look at the drives. The arnies were $14k upcharge from the Bravos. The fellow I was talking to said it would do 85 with 496's in it. As far as the seats, I definetly did not like them at all. I think they would stay wet, and the backs of them are hard as hell. I sure wouldn't want to be standing behind one of the front seats. He said that was just the way they built this boat and you can get most any configuration for the cockpit.

Ilmor was the company that actually designed, built, and serviced the Mercedes-Benz CART/Indy Car engines from 1994 - 2001. They still build the M-B Formula One engine. The engine in the picture is a 2001 CART engine; 161 cubic inches, 800 hp on 5 psi boost. Not bad....

Great Photo's...

Thanks for the great shots of the biggest names in Offshore. I will have to say though...Powerplay doesn't hold a candle to everyone else's detail, dash layout, accessories, power, etc..., like Outerlimits, Cigarette, Donzi, Fountain, & Hustler, etc...does. These companies boats are on the edge! Incredible boats with knowledgable sales staff. Ed :D

I was really looking forward to the OL tent at the Miami Boat Show. I could not beleive the quality or lack there of of the paint jobs. Just my $.02 but if I am going to pay $500K plus for a boat the workmanship should be next to flawless. The quality of the Cigs. paint and many others for that matter were far better.
Engines and interior in the OL's were great, I just expected a little more from thier finish.
I would think all the MFG's would want to bring their very best to this show and from what I saw I would not consider an OL for this reason.

There are 500,000 reasons why I couldn't consider an OL, but the paint isn't the main one.:p

I dont know if anybody else noticed or not. Didnt show in the picture listed. But the Velocity 36 with staggered V10s had the motors touching each other and the front motor was touching the rear bulkhead for the back seats while the rear engine was touching the transom in the back. Maybe they should have gone with a side by side like the Hustler 38 Slingshot. That one had a much better quality job.

Got to go on a test ride in the 39' MTI cat w/575's Mon. morning.

110 mph on a short burst in the bay. We got a long (3trps around the bay) ride because my friends are seriously considering to 42' MTI. Rusty even got to take the wheel!!! 108 the first time driving a cat! He went home to immediately put his 38' Nor-tech v up for sale!!

That thing may not be practical, but I will figure a way to make it so. AWESOME!!!
