construction of cigs

....balsa or diveycell ?

....who did the step work? Performance now vs. before...

...amazing how many times the place has either changed hands or had ups and downs but survived and pulled it together...

...I guess I need/want a history lesson in a "nutshell" on Cigarette from the days of Don to now....what's the same...what's changed in terms of design and worksmanship and materials...and you know...anything you might have to share that's interesting...

...I asked a guy at a boatyard in Mihcigan where several cig's tied up and he didn't know much except that they keep on ticking when others are in the resin graveyard...so I am interested to know more...

Let me suggest some bedtime reading first....

Suggest that you look over:
Searace by John Crouse
Don Aronow "King of Thunderboat Row" by Michael Aronow
Blue Thunder by Thomas Burdick
Muscle Boats by Thomas Rasmussen
These will give much of the the history of Cigarette Racing Team and Offshore in General.
And then repost and ask away.
Best,
Rice Hauler
