This is actualy what they had set up at their booth in the way of a boat, oh and the truck was their too. Maybe Thad was just looking for a loss for tax purposes for the next couple of years. I could have whittled a boat out of a hickory stump by now. They also had one salesman present who was not even there answering questions of the people that stopped by but instead talking on the phone or helping sell subscriptions to Extreme Boats magazine. Other boats such as Concept and Blue lightning had more Apache heritage at their booth than Apache did.
Oh and while on the subject of Blue lightning it was the worst built boat I have ever seen. Notice how under the fairing and sides it is unfinished and it had more waves down the side than the Atlantic Ocean. This thing was amazing at how rough it was. |

Also notice there is no way one could see over this fairing including me at 6' 2"

That dash and steering wheel looks like something out of a cruise ship:D
Dude! That looks like a Flea-market set up! :D

When there is as much talk as there is about this year next year they better be carefull. People already wonder and now they are proving the doubters correct. I really hope that they are able to put out something soon or I fear that they will be doomed.

Same as your first pic. The Blue Lighting was a ways down the lot. |

and when you get going you can see over the windshield better because the back of the boat comes up.
are these blue lightenings the same as the ones aranow sold to kramer and got killed over?
I dont think so Puder. Wasn't that the slice and dice Cig cat that you're referring to?
puder i think you are refering to the blue thunder cats. SS is right they were a cig hull split down the middle.
I saw the new 41" apache also... The guys where pushing the internet site and now there is always new things on there.

an aranow cat was a cig split down the middle and spread apart. the blue thunder, blue lightning , thunder power boats were all out of the molds that were originally built by michael peters ( who made the callan tenecara) the kid apache was out of these molds, and when the government siezed the molds bill dahl in illinois bought them from the government and did some trading to thunder power boats for them and then thunder power sold them to blue lightening. My boat was made somewhere in that mix but i am not sure by who.

the original logo from apache on the cat.
what ever happened to thunder power boats????????
I went to the "Apache" website, whats the deal with these guys taking credit for building all the 41's ???? After 1986 all the 41's and 47's were built by McManus. McManus is listed as the holder of the "Apache" trademark at the Governments website. What gives ????
Who are you guys? Welcome to OSO (again?)
