Open 72: I have many pics of ft Apache with the backround of nothin but brush and trees, same time frame. I was waiting for someone to start a thread about pics from 188th ave, or maybe someday I might just start one myself. This thread was started for the Cig plant, and its real easy to run off track when talkin about ALL the neat cool places that are no longer.
I think someone or maybe myself should start a thread about and including all the marine performance hot spots (Everglades, ft Apache, Abbott & Gilmore, Race Rig & Repair, Tempest, etc) that are no longer around. THAT would be a great thread and could go on for a long time. I'm sure alot of us older guys would have many pics to contribute, I know I do. Fever Mike: The Ferrarri's you mentioned, there was a 308, a 328, a348 (all red) the Lambo (red) the fancy Caddys, conv Jags all red also, belonged to the owner of Everglades, Norval Stahly, along with the 42 & 47 Fountain. Jeff Riss, who managed Everglades from Nov 98 till the end, has a couple hundred pics of alot of the big name boats that went through there for the races, water & air shows, and all the poker runs. I will get them from him this week and at a later time when appropiate, I will start posting them. There is about 25-30 rolls of pics, hundreds of pics, I've seen them, they're GREAT!!! Jamie B: I know after talkin to you, that we have similar knowledge and interests. One more for the Cig plant. |

Frank,
That was Ralph Martin's and Norval Stahly's 38 Cigarette ' The Dealer ' that they raced and ran some of their poker runs in. They where partners together in Everglades Marina at the time. |
