Nitro,
It would amaze you what kind of **** you would be in for turning Mr gator into a pair of boots. These Gators are so well protected by the state it would be cheaper just to buy those boots

That's funny, we used to have a "pet" gator in the pond behind my friend's ATV/Jet-ski shop. We also called him "The Gator" He was only about 6' long and we used to hang raw chickens from a tree to watch him eat. It was quite a sight. Unfortunately some nearby homeless people shot our gator one night. Kind of scary that the homeless people are armed here in Houston. Not sure why they shot it, the gator certainly didn't bother us when we would swim or jetski in the pond. We've since had the local motorcycle cop (who gets a hookup at the shop) run the homeless people off. Just to make sure they didn't come back, we pretty much ran over their little shelter and dragged their mattresses away with some 4-wheelers.
