Steve:

We are working on updating the website for the replacement project. This will take some time.

The package is very simple. It can be accomplished in two man days, maybe faster if everything is organized.

Give a call if you have further questions.

Good job Kurt! I'll bet it makes a great article.

My brother wants to put Rtech supercharger systems on his 30' cat with 500 HP 502s. Since my system produces 800 HP @ 5500 RPM, I have been putting him off by saying, "No way, the TRS drives won't take it!" Now he has an answer for that. Thanks a lot.

By the way, what was the result with the spacers in? Same as the TRS? You know I need data tables and graphs...

Hi Tom,

When comparing "apples to apples" we were surprised to see the Korad 540 was almost 1 mph faster than the TRS. This was very exciting as the 540 has much larger gears, bearings and holds 6 quarts of lube. It goes to show how much more efficient the Konrad lower gear case is vs. the TRS case.

The 540`s would be the answer on Paul's cat and your Supercoolers!

By the way, your Supercooler for the HP500 EFI looks incredible. Keep me posted on the progress.

The Konrad's really attract a crowd, every time I stopped for fuel someone would ask about the drives.

I'm extremely pleased with them. The attention to detail is amazing. They are made to be maintained with ease, lots of little features like externally replaceable propshaft seals, bronze bearing retainer nut and bronze trim ram end caps.

Check them out at www.konradmarine.com

I ordered a set from Fred last week after following this post. They are fabricating the wing plates for the steering and will ship at the end of the week.

Are you referring to magnesium anodes? Kurt has zinc anodes but have you had trouble in certain environments with the zinc? If so, please describe.

Hey there is nothing wrong with that trailer... I spent the first 22 hours of its road life with that trailer.

No I have just heard that you use different zincs in fresh water then salt. I figured since most of Konrads bus is with the navy they probably use the salt water version. Other then that I am just going with what I have heard....
