Cigarette Watch
Did anyone see the watch they had at their booth in Miami??? It was pretty cool, I wanted to try and track down the company that makes it but i forgot their name. Can anyone help???? a website maybe???
Thanks, Bill |
I saw it, but you know that because I was standing right beside you feller! Like you said Bill, I wonder what it would cost without the logo on it? Very nice watch though, if you buy one think long and hard about the color of the trim ring as you will have to make sure the bezels on the Cig you buy match!! Later on buddy: Matt

Saw them too, cool watches.
The rep there said that they where prototypes there in the case, and actual ones to purchase would be available "in the fall". |
Heard they might be SWATCH watches..
|
well from what i have read, if tank tops were going for 75 clams ,you will have to take a second mortgage on your house for that watch:rolleyes: :D :D
|
it was actually about 1400.00 but I just can't remember the name of the company.
What's up fobes!!! |

I have seen Rolex custom watchs with the cig logo.
|
It is a Formex 4 speed watch.... All they need now is to make a Cigarette members only jacket, a Reggie Fountain cig model toupe, and a cigarette nugget ring and we can be just as cheesey as the king himself!!

Someone posted a picture on this site or "the other site". I think it was in the long thread with all of the show pictures (I remember someone making comments about the T-shirt prices and someone else posted the watch pictures and questioned the price). If you find that picture, repost it here... I might recognize the brand characteristics. With a price of $1400 I doubt that it was manufactured by any of the big name high end company's considering Cig's 300% mark up. That doesn't mean it's a bad quality watch. Unless it's an automatic (movement), a quartz movement is a quartz movement, there really aren't many bad ones...

CIGARETTE RACING TEAMä IS IN PERFECT TIME
WITH FORMEX 4-SPEED WATCHES It is the perfect combination—a boat company known for quality, speed and performance--even in the roughest waters, and a fine Swiss watch with a patented, unique suspension system for comfort and durability, even in turbulence. Cigarette Racing Team and Formex Watch USA will introduce a Cigarette-branded Formex watch at the Miami International Boat Show, February 12-17. The new license agreement complements current Formex sponsorships of an American LeMans team and an endurance motorcycle racing team. “We have formerly compared our watch to ‘wearing a high-performance sports car on your wrist,’ says Daniel Bartl, Managing Director, Formex Watch USA. “Now we can say it is, ‘like wearing a high-performance Cigarette on your wrist!’” A passion for motorsports, shared by Bartl and Ferdinand Gradel, Managing Director for Europe, is the driving force behind Formex watches—“instruments for speed.” Formex watches combine the exceptional craftsmanship of fine Swiss watch-making with lightweight, high-performance materials. Formex creates a timepiece that goes beyond just telling time, to make a statement about performance, dynamics and speed. The Cigarette Racing Team watch will be a chronograph with a titanium case. The watch kit includes a titanium band and colored leather strap, stamped with the Cigarette #1 logo, framing the watch’s logo-embossed face. A color-coordinated bezel replicates the colors used on Cigarette dashboard gauges. Red, black, silver and blue colors will be introduced in the initial line and all are packaged in a customized Cigarette travel case, complete with band-changing tools and a signature key chain. “We wanted to have a Cigarette branded watch that reflected our values and priorities for quality, performance and style,” said Skip Braver, Cigarette Racing Team President and CEO, “We believe Formex 4-Speed thinks along the same lines and are pleased to have them spread the Cigarette name to their retailers throughout the U.S. and Europe. We will enjoy wearing the watches ourselves, and think our customers will appreciate having a Cigarette sport watch to add to their collections.” The Cigarette Racing Team Formex watch will also be previewed at the JCK Jewelry Show in Las Vegas in the Spring and will be available at $1,400 in retail stores by September of 2004. The watches will also be carried at the Ultimate Store at www.cigaretteracing.com and at selected Cigarette dealers. For more information on Formex Watch USA visit www.formexwatch.com. |

Looks like it was answered above while I was posting this |

This means that they can buy them at the lowest price (see $99.00) and mark them up to $1400!! |

I told some girl there that I wana watch, so she let me.:D
|
I just looked around and they get a LOT of money for those things.

Tried on the Cig sunglasses and almost broke out in a rash! :D :D :D
|
I went to the Formex site it looks like all their watches are from 1-3k so maybe the mark up isn't too high. It would have been cooler if they went with a watch maker like Tag or another top brand.

Thanks for the info. I agree it may be a little pricey for a "non" top recognized brand but if i broke that one while i was out running hard or wrenching the motors it would be a little easier to swallow than my Rolex. I know , I know...take it off first but i didn't buy it to sit in a box. -------Come with nothing, Go with nothing TBH I like the watch, just because Cigarette was marketing it ,isn't the reason I interested. Thanks, Bill

Cigarette Rolex
Only heard of one for sale a while back wish I would have bought it It was sold on this board |
Doesn't Formex make condoms??:p
|
Tried on the Cig sunglasses and almost broke out in a rash! |
ok I'll take one for $99.00!!!
That would be FOUREX condoms, they used to come in their own individual plastic cases. 3 in a box and back in 1985 they were 5 bucks for 3 f cks!!!! |
I liked that watch because of the size of it, it is hard to find a good looking man sized men's watch without spending a lot of dough
|
Website for Breitling?
Thanks Bryan |
FEVER MIKE, Thanks for the link, not really my style.
I hate to spend the money on a Rolex, ya know. Budget for a nice watch is about $1500 to 2000, non leather band, no small print, at 40 my vision started going, don't need anything but two hands, hell I never know the date anyway, and could care less. I want the rugged yet dress look, but rugged enough to wear boating. I have in the past just worn Seiko watches, I know, only a few hundred bucks. But know I am ready to upgrade. Thanks, hook me up.... Bryan |
OK, I looked agin, I like these two, we have a local retailer, FINKS in Norfolk Va.
What do thes run? Windrider Wing Automatic Aeromarine, Avenger Seawolf Bryan |
