I have a super nice guy coming to take a look at my boat tomorrow. I feel kinda funny about selling it, as I love it so much, but its gotta go so I can have something like this:

Maryland 358

Steve_H 02-21-2004 02:47 PM

felt the same way when i sold my last boat :(
doesnt go away till you buy another one

CAP071 02-21-2004 03:17 PM

I still want my old boat back. I bought another boat. But sold it within weeks. It was nothing like my baby! :(

impulsive 02-21-2004 03:39 PM

I'm selling mine next week(i hope) and i'm a little leary about letting her go. It sux to see them pull out of the yard with your baby. But if things go well i'll have a new toy to show you guys soon........;)

They become members of my family! I have a hard time letting them go, and if you saw my yard, you would see that I don't let them go often. I still miss my 242 that I sold last year after getting the 302.

BTW, beautiful 358 Brian.

BOSSMAN 02-22-2004 08:52 AM

I thought that was the idea, buy it, fix it just right. Then talk about all the work you did. Then sell.

Macklin 02-22-2004 09:10 AM

Bryan, your potential buyer would not happen to be Dave, the guy I introduced you to at the Miami show?

Dude your cruel  boats have feelings too :p

I can't bring myself to sell mine, too many good memories running in problem child,we have been through the good , bad, and the ugly and mostly proud that I have turned problem child into something people are impressed with and big block guys fear :D. It makes me proud to own this boat I have worked so hard on. Hell I still want my last boat back :( It was only a ski boat, but nobody had one like it. When the new owner pulled out of the driveway with it I broke down :( Took me me 3 months to find the boat I run now. Problem child will be around for a long time.

Fred.. You have to put them in the water to get these feelings about boats :D :D

Payton 02-22-2004 10:19 AM

Good luck Brian. That 358 is an awesome boat.

Sydwayz 02-22-2004 10:59 AM

Thanks guys, we shall see. I have A LOT of irons in the fire from new jobs to relocating to warmth to all of the above, including I need to buy some real estate. Not having a boat will SUCK, but will be an enabler for other things bigger and better. Anything can happen.

Macklin, yes, Dave and his wife are supposed to come by today.

OldSchool 02-22-2004 11:08 AM

Good luck Brian!!

That 358 is very nice, How many times was it painted? :D :D

I've heard a couple of sides to that story on that boat, would love to hear the third side of the story one day.:)

LapseofReason 02-22-2004 11:29 AM

Brian I'll sell you my boat and house, a even mil. takes it.:D

Sydwayz 02-22-2004 12:58 PM

Thanks Troutly, I knew I could count on you! :D :D

Dusty Times 02-22-2004 04:44 PM

I always have a tear in my eye as it pulls out of sight with the new owner.

TeamSonic42 02-22-2004 06:52 PM

Nice boat Brian. Know it well. Have ridden in & driven it.
Cant beat it for the money. Loaded up nice too. The current owners are great people.......

dreamer 02-22-2004 07:08 PM

OldSchool 02-22-2004 07:49 PM

Did somebody catch the Cigarette bug last week?:D :D

How did it go today?

lucky strike 02-22-2004 07:50 PM

If you are going to spend that much money, for the boat in post #1, you could buy a really nice late 90's TG.

Food for thought...

LS JR.

Macklin 02-23-2004 06:42 AM

Hey Bryan, if Dave ends up buying your boat.....do I get a finders fee? :D

Just kidding. I would like to see Dave in such a nice boat. How DID it go?

Sydwayz 02-23-2004 07:54 AM

It went well. Dave & Beverly were here for about an hour or so, maybe more, and I am pretty confident that they liked it. Thanks Macklin. How about I buy you a bottle of Ring-0. :D :D :D

jb 02-23-2004 08:08 AM

sure...it rips you all up when your boat sells after months and months of a-holes buggin ya for pics/rides/info. Breaks your heart your payent is over, and the boat search for a better ride starts...

Reckless32 02-23-2004 08:50 AM

How about I buy you a bottle of Ring-0.
LMAO...:D

Dave's been sniffing for awhile. Hope it works out well for the both of you...Selling season has arrived.

45sonic 02-23-2004 08:54 AM

Let's just hope this weather breaks soon so we can get some yellowing of the hull!

Charmed1 02-23-2004 03:16 PM

Brian, I hope it all works out for you. That is a beautiful looking boat.

Sydwayz 02-23-2004 03:34 PM
