Their is a leter in Extreme boats this month about the 5 year warranty on merc engine and drives and them not living up to it on the drives, I think the boat was a 35 Formula might be worth reading.

I have heard good and bad.
Got them free when I bought the last boat and fornunately have not had to find out first hand.
My dealer did tell me that they are really cheap and only want to cover as little as possible. They make him reuse everything that can be repaired and but back in.

Had a cable and drive leak fixed with a Passport warranty in the past. My warranty covered only engine and outdrive.
Only transferrable one time to a new owner.

I have a 4 year extended warranty on both engines and drives through Marine Innovations. I grenaded a drive recently and they paid the 6k to replace it no questions asked. I would think Passport would do the same???

Jonas,
Be carful of High Hour 575's on big 42 foot boats. Let me know when you'll be in Florida so you can take a look at
"On the Prowl" 680 HP low hour motors. Full serviced drives. 93MPH
