found out that the beam is 9' and the boat is made in three configurations, race quater canopy and pleasure with mecloed interior. cumberland is suppossed to have the first and they are putting 875 sterlings in it and is reported to do 130mph. this boat appears to be moving in the area of setting a new v bottom record in the near future. i heard it has 5 steps in the hull ranging in depth. the boat will only be sold with 6 drives. wonder with 1450 sterlings what this boat would run. 160????

The boat is available in any configuration you would want power or outdrive.
The boat has an "advertised beam" of 9' but that is at the gunnels not the running surface.
It is a five step bottom and apparently runs very well with set of staggered 525's and Bravo's. Reliable with the Bravo's is another story.
The boat should be very stable with big power as well. Someone needs to step up and place a set of Sterling’s biggest engines in it and run the thing.

I was told by the driver (don't remember his name off hand) that they drive failure issue is due mostly to the very high x-dimension they are running on the race boat. A slightly more conservative x might help the bravo's last longer.
