anybody know anything about the skater 399 v bottom

cant find out much about this secretive boat. i heard it breaks 100mph with stock 525's. i heard it takes a year to get one and only 5 will be built a year. does anyone have any other knowledge of pleasure configuration, motors, prices. must be awesome if pete designed it and based it on the skater hull.

It has been a big secret.

There was rumor that Baja was building it, then that Baja and Skater would market it together. But that was not correct.

The only thing I know for sure is that Baja contracted and made the mold. They apparently have some very high tech equipment and capabilities, and were in a position to do it for them.

I'm always excited to see new stuff hit the market and hope this sets a new standard.

I looked at the "Spiderman" boat a few weeks ago in St. Cloud. That boat is very nice, very fast and very for sale. Check with Craig Colabella for more info or Todd Welling here on the forum. The boat is in perfect shape!!

It's a wide sucker too!! Eats Bravo's for lunch.... a set of Bmax's would be the ticket on that boat.

Anyone know how many steps are in this hull?

Madcow 02-25-2004 07:57 PM

Why, are you looking to become a dealer since you are a boat trader?:D :D

I believe it has 4 steps.

How wide is it? It looked about 8' 6" (average) to me, but I could be wrong.

Just looking at it in Milwaukee and again in Grand Haven last summer, I'd say it's more like 9' wide. Sitting next to a fountain in Milwaukee it was MUCH wider.
