LakeRacer , anything going on at Havasu in March?
were picking up a boat at discovery bay , Ca. and were thinking of heading down to havasu on the way home. havent decided on a firm date yet. would like to schedule the trip to coincide with a good weekend on havasu. any suggestions?

You will have some spring breakers there towards the end of March.

The only other thing I have scheduled for March is for the Havasu For Youth. This charity gets the kids out for a beach clean-up and when they are finished, a bunch of us pick the kids up and take them to Havasu Springs for lunch.

It works out pretty good, the kids are well behaved, take off there shoes and have their own lifejackets. Lunch is provided for by a sponsor. If you are interested in helping us out that would be great. Give me a call at 602-318-5785

ide be glad to help out but were probably just going to wing it. show up and drop the boat in for the day then take off again for missouri. dont even know what day its going to be yet. depends on how long it takes to seatrial the boat and hit the road again.

Hey Loto.... Why don't you make a trip to socal on your way to Havasu?? There's a SCOPE Catalina lunch run on sat March 13..... :D

By the way, looks like the Coast Guard is closing the lake from Thompson Bay to Havasu Springs for the event. We are required to use that part of the lake only!
We have enquired about spectator boats being allowed down the course, but no answer yet.
You may have to get a boat decal-sticker from Poker Run headquarters to be allowed down the course.
Will keep everyone up to date as this unfolds.

Heat Wave Poker Run information
 

We would like info. on how to register and where to stay with our boat for that week. We have seen pic's of a place on the water where we can tie up and anchor the boat on the sand in view of the rooms. Can you help with information.
