On a related topic...........for the record.

Tunnel tabs.........

If operated in a careful manner with minor adjustments...by a qualified operator....who knows the effect the tab has at various settings........and various speeds...can improve performance.

If operated incorrectly.....with heavy handedness....by an inexperienced, impaired or reckless operator........can cause problems.

The same is true for trim tabs, throttles, helms, hoists, thrusters, airplane flaps, sails, microwave ovens, hammers, guns, Iodine, lye, battery acid, trolling motors , weed wackers, penile growth devices, .....and of course tort law.

T2x........ speaking to no one in particular.

Insurance companies make MILLIONS off boaters every year... they can just about give any figure they want and we HAVE to pay it. The three most common boating accidents are:
1. Driving like a Knucklehead at night
2. Driving like a knucklehead drunk
3. Driving like a knucklehead
Accidents are always going to happen...period. If you hit something in the lake (stump/log) or your boat gets stolen, that is the reason for insurance. 99 times out of 100, claims are made because someone is an idiot. Just dont be a knucklehead and do 100 on a small lake, a crowded lake or at night after a case of beer..... sound familiar.... Dont do that on
snowmobiles
boats
bikes
or your CAR.
The problem these days is Jet Skis. without them, the lakes are much safer. Any knucklehead with 5,000$ can go do 60 on a lake, be 12 years old, and do donuts and spin outs in the main channell.
I have come to the conclusion that they will start bouncing off me from now on.
