Michigan Guys Help I D this Cat

1 Attachment(s)
Guys,

I found this boat way down here in Mississippi today and was wondering what the heck it was. A Guy has it and dosent even know the year or make. He claims it was raced in Michigan for a few years and that is where he found it. It has an o4 registration. It has twin Small Blocks and need lots of work. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Garland

Madcow I was wondering the same thing - I've never seen anything like that before. Maybe old Volvo drives??

Looks like a Warlock cat. Saw drives like that once on a 33 Sonic I looked at, but forget the mfgr name.

looks like an obsession 27 cat. note the pad v between the sponsons. Very distinct bottom on those.

Drives...

The drive are/were made by a company called SternPower. In my opinion, they can really devalue a performance boat.:( Ed

I saw an Obsession cat once. I can't recall what the deck looked like. I may have been a ModVp hull. I do remember the boat having a major hook in the hull that was at least 6' long. Something to check for.

Boy, those drives sure look old. Despite that, they sure do look racey. It looks like they were setup to be surfacing too. Although the age of the drive is a major detriment, I'd be encouraged by the quality of the rigging.

They used to us those drives on house boats.
