IMHO;

Production boat = Make em, then sell em.
Custom boat = Sell em, then make em. (Built to order)
Race boat = You entered one of the above in a race. It now qualifies as a race boat.

If you entered that Bayliner in a race, would it then be a production boat or a race boat???...Would the canopy be removable? Cause that makes a difference.;)
