Ok folks , I got the video sent it out to be converted from the PAL format "Europe" to the US "NTSC" format also had it converted from tape to dvd. The video starts out with some clips of different races from 1981 the best of witch are of Paul Clausers 38 scarab Satisfaction and Ted tolemans 38 cougar cat.then it goes into a brief tour of key west and then into a look back at some failed speed record attempts witch includes footage of Michel Meynard and Bob Idoni's exploding Cougar cat this is cool footage because the boat never leaves the frame of the camera also there is an interview with bob about the accident. After that it shows footage of all the different race boats showing up in Key West including Willie diaz's El Boss and Betty Cooks 40 formula cat then it goes to interviews with the different racers Clauser, Meynard and rookie Jerry Kilpatrick with his new 39 Squadron Apache witch is throttled by Bob Saccenti. after that starts the coverage of the world championship race, the footage is pretty good at least for 1981 standards.It,s a very rough race and all the cat's break it comes down to a race between Jerry Jacoby's Ajac Hawk and Kilpatkick's Apache to witch Jacoby wins and kilpatrick is 28 sec behind . This is a really good video my description dos'nt do it Justis and there is alot more that I just do not have room to fit .All told I have around $66 tied up in this, the video was around $32 and the conversion was $34. Stinger, do u have extra copies? Are u sayin I have to buy it through sendit.com and then direct it to this avconvert site.. To much trouble!!,but I'll buy a copy from you if you have one

Smart Move go from Pal tape to DVD Mpeg-2 Forget a second video tape..I brought back a lot of video from abroad also bringing a Multi format VCR which is hard to find here But common overseas. Now hooked to my computer.

Sorry speed I do not. But it did not take to long to get the tape,about 2 weeks, after that I sent the tape out and got it back in 5 days using priority mail

PAL Tape !!!!

Lets split the cost of the tape and I'll get it converted to (2) or more VHS tapes for free !!!!
