Catalina lunch run
 

Hey for all you big time boaters in Los Angeles, Scope is doing a lunch run to catalina on march 13 leaving from the newport breakwater. Check the scope web site for all of the information as to time and place. :p

SCOPE is having it's second 2004 event as a brunch run to Catalina!!! Come join us!!!

THIS IS A SATURDAY EVENT

For anyone who would like to attend need to meet up at the NEWPORT BREAKWATER entrance and/or the HUNTINGTON HARBOR BREAKWATER entrances at 9:30am SHARP! Then head to the power station south of Huntington Beach and gather there. We'll be leaving the power station area at 9:45 sharp! We will floating about 1/2 mile off from the power stations, then departing at 9:45 sharp.

You don't need to be a SCOPE member to go on this run! Please don't be late.......or you will be boating by yourself!

We all went out to catalina this last weekend and even Norty got some water over the bow. Weather permitting means weather you are a real boater or one who leaves his boat on the trailer except for once a year. The weather for this coming weekend should be just as nice. So break out those cob webs and burn some gas.:doggy:

Time to crack out the water wings and lucky speedo!!!

I took the coast to work today and its Puuuurfect out. About 85 degrees, little wind, mild rollers. and lots of sailboats to aim at!

It should be a nice day out there, can't wait for this saturday.

Looks like there will be a good turnout tomorrow morning..

They are expecting everybody for lunch at the Blue Parrot restaurant in Avalon....

Man, I don't think I gonna get the bugs worked out of the Cig in time :( :( :(

Charging the batts now, have to change oil, filters, some minor wiring, etc.

Tried to register with DMV though tripple A today and met up with a butt hole clerk so decided to just go straight to DMV and do the two hour wait on Monday. :mad:

Sure would have liked to make this run. Oh well, count me in for the next one!

Too bad that you have to miss this one, but don't worry there are a bunch more planned for the summer. The next lunch run is planned for May 8, but I'm sure that some impromptu runs will happen between now and then...

We will be launching out of Dana instead of Newport.
Will have videocams and hopefully post a few video
snippets upon return. Here's a pic of the boat please don't run us over.. LOL
