Dear Abbey...

This boat is for sale and I NEED to own it. This is NOT about want vs. need. This is about SURVIVAL! It IS lfe or DEATH! The owner is an aquaintance of mine and lives across the lake from me. You may have seen it advertised in various mags. It is the fastest 32 Skater in the world! She didn't seem to understand the NEED, the bare NECESSITY of owning such a piece of historically significant hardware. I mean it is the only boat to have broken 100 MPH on Lake Tahoe! I need help convincing her. :eureka: I even told her she would not have to have sex with me EVER again if sh elet me buy it!  Then I said, okay, I'll make you a deal. I will put stock power in it so it is not radical and will run easily with no breakage. Answer...NO! WTF? Abbey, what can I do to convince her that all we need to do is sell the house and move full time to the lake to afford it? What does money have to do with it? I mean the government just spends and spends...why can't I? I KNOW you will have the RIGHT answer Abbey. PLEASE HELP! Oh, btw, I told her I would sell my little 24 Skater to buy it as well.

Signed,
Needing a bigger boat!

I believe it ran 180+ and they ran out of water and I was told it has more in it. Mind you I have NO desire to run that fast. At 160 they say it is extremely stable. I guess "stable" at those speeds is a relative term. It currently has SARIS racing engines that put out around 1300 ponies. He had this custom exhaust made that is incredibly QUIET and meets all decible requirements for Lake George, NY! IF I could afford it I would put the "generic" equivalent to 525's in it. Naturally aspirated, fuel injected, turn key power, in a boat that with that set up will run 110 all day and all I would have to do is change the oil a few times a year, have the valves done annually, and change the drive oil annually and never have to worry about breakage. This thing is my FAVORITE 32 in the world. Its beauty is in its simplicity. Not wild and crazy graphics. Very subtle but EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL! One word to define it...CLASSY! I LOVE this boat and I only DREAM that SOMEDAY I can afford one just like it.:( :doggy:

Shane -- I know Abby and she agreed to write you a response:

"Dear Shane in NY,

I can see how your significant other might not understand your needs, but that should not deter you. You are a grown adult and as such, you are the master of your destiny. If that floating piece of motorized art doesn't fit into her plans, it would seem you have only two choices -- divorce or "roofies" in her drink. Since divorce is expensive and messy, I would lean toward the "roofies" option. Put a couple in her drink, and get her to sign on the dotted line. Forty bucks and a slight hangover is a small price to pay for marital bliss.

Good luck,
Abby "

Shane
Three words: secret boat account.

I'm sure the national divorce rate would jump higher if some of our wives knew what we REALLY spent on boating:rolleyes:
Good luck & never give up!!

NOPE! The GENTRY Hacker with Arneson drives is going away too. Peter Hledin is designing him a VanDam. Rumor has it he fell in love with Freihofer's (the one that was running 80 next to us 2 years ago) and it will be rigged at Performance I believe.

This is the one that is currently on Lake George that is FAST!

Shane,
I am sure you were no serious about the "only boat to break 100 at Lake Tahoe".... were you?

If you were, please give Harold Cornelius of Discovery Bay a call, I am pretty sure that he has been over 100 at Tahoe in his 32' Skater "Freedom".

A couple of years ago there was also a 40' Skater there for the Poker Runs West Event that was leading Freedom around, so I am sure that one also broke 100.

NO! OOPS! The link did not work right. Go under custom wood boats, then go to Jacqueline.

Is the boat advertised anywhere yet?

Yup, Powerboat, and Poker Runs America so far that I have seen.

Rick,
If it is now not the only boat to have done so, it is my understanding that it was the first. If I am mistaken, my appologies in advance, but I do believe this to be the truth.
