105mph_38_2003 03-08-2004 09:51 PM

Hopefully something will turn up, you can never tell with how stupid some criminals are;)

Sorry to hear you $h!+ was ganked:(

JnT 03-08-2004 10:00 PM

Lock them up good if you have em. I went to an MX race yesterday and 2 bikes were stolen during the race.

VelocityMike 03-08-2004 10:07 PM

That sucks Puder hope it work out for you.

PhantomChaos 03-08-2004 10:19 PM

Somebody may have saved your life.......... ;)

A co-worker of my GF is a professional rider and they just started a new high-end motorcycle magazine. They were riding last weekend and came around a corner and slammed into a fuel tanker that was doing an illegal 3-point turn. You can't control other peoples actions.

Mr. Demeanor 03-08-2004 11:12 PM

Puder, sorry to here this. Best of luck with the insurance company.

PC, sorry to hear about the accident. Theres not much in life you can control.

R Addiction 03-08-2004 11:23 PM

Can't have anything nice w/o some low life Fuc&in' with it!!

puder 03-08-2004 11:35 PM

yeah i'm sur eits in pieces now.

NOrt the funny thing is yo're 100% right i love riding bikes but they are just too damn dangerous. As a matter of a fact on sunday the last daty i rode the bike a housewive almost clipped me in a mercedes g500. Really had me thinkin abotu sellign it. I guess the dirtbag who stole it was lookign out for my best interests.

With some luck he'll try to hit 200 on it and road pizza himself.

PhantomChaos 03-08-2004 11:42 PM

Perhaps it's fate. I've had two bikes and been down twice....both without a helmet. Very lucky. I didn't ride hardly at all after they put the hemet law in CA. A friend wanted to borrow my bike cuz his car was in the shop. When he had it that day, it got stolen off the street never to be seen again. I figure that if I got another bike.....it might be "third time's a charm!" and I have too many responsibilities these days. I must keep my post count in the top 10 on OSO. :D :D :D

puder 03-08-2004 11:57 PM

hahaha

yeha i suppose now i can dedicate more time to OSO anyway. Not quite warm enough for boating yet.

i'd still like to knee cap the **** that stole it though.

That was actually the very first thought I had when I opened this thread.

Need-the-Speed 03-09-2004 12:56 AM

Any Distinguishing Features? Any broken doors, windows, FINGUR PRINTS....I bet if we all put our heads together we may just be able to crack this thing wide open! O.K. maybe thats wishful thinking. If everybody on OSO put their heads together we'd end up with a 50 Outerlimits cruising down the hudson with a set of lezbians on the bow, a Mobil gas card in the glove box, and a few more Lezbians on the sun pad. Good Luck

puder 03-09-2004 01:51 AM

lemme hitch a ride on the 50ol with the girl party and i might forget about the bike.

as for now i'm still super pissed cus out a few thousand bucks. My insurance doesn't cover theft.

CAP071 03-09-2004 04:55 AM

That sucks I think that is one of the worst feeling in a person's life. You feel so Violated! :D

gmhdfan 03-09-2004 06:40 AM

That sucks. Willing to bet it's someone you or your brother know. Someday they will piss someone off that knows, and they will snitch on them to you. People think I'm crazy with the way I keep my bikes locked up. but better safe than sorry.

CigDaze 03-09-2004 07:16 AM

Sorry to hear this, Puder :(

I try not to be devil's advocate, but I think you know as well as I do, it's probably no longer much of a bike. :(

mcollinstn 03-09-2004 07:21 AM

I don't guess you want me to send you a list of our sportbike inventory, eh?

I hate a damn thief.
Almost makes you want to put plastic explosives on everything you own with some kind of motion trigger.

Common thiefs should be hanged/caned/put in those wood chock things in the public square (center of the mall these days). Nothing hacks me off more than somebody just "taking liberties" with your stuff.

OldSchool 03-09-2004 07:41 AM

That SUCKS!!!!!!

I sold the last bike that I owned in 1985 and bought a boat. The way I look at it is "Boating probably saved my life"!!!!! I don't care to ever ride another bike in my life.

What are the specifics on your bike Puder (make, model,etc...)

Right on.

Sorry puder hope it was insured and don't get another one. My.02.

HiPerf2000 03-09-2004 08:00 AM

Didn't you say you dropped that bike a while ago???

If so did it still have fairing 'rash'?? check ebay for the parts, pick them up in person, and bring your bat.

Maybe you'll get lucky like the Prop incident where they caught the guy unloading them on ebay.

ttb 03-09-2004 08:08 AM

man sorry to here that. good luck finding the dick head!

MitchStellin 03-09-2004 08:42 AM

I want on the girl ride also. I had a Suz GS750ES and layed it down once, ran a stop sign once, and smoked the front tire under heavy braking many times. Lent it to a friend who was a very good rider and he hit a car from behind and fle over three cars into the back of a van. He was broken but recovered and rides today...I sold and went to dirtbikes, no soccermoms on the trails. I think this is fate, let it go and remember the two who hit the pickup head on in the UCS:( I know mine was because if he had not had the bike, I would have been on it next to him.

Formula Outlaw 03-09-2004 09:40 AM

Maybe your homeowners policy might cover it. Just a thought.....

:hothead: :hothead: :hothead: theives. work hard to buy something you want and some pos steals it.

Rforsey 03-09-2004 10:29 AM

That SUCKS
I with gmhdfam.
Had to be someone that has seen you and your brothers bike......
as for the Insurance company... do you have everything insured with them if so I would give them an ear full and look around.....what if it was your Boat?????

with the might be a good thing.... we all realize that some of the things we do is dangerous and maybe we shouldn't.. but sometimes when you love speed it has its price, but when your out there weather its flying on the water or a road that has so many corners and you lay the bike down so low it only inches off the ground it is a feeling of freedom and that is something that is awesome in life...
my other half sold ours after only 2 rides together and the road we live on is awesome its the back way to Lake George and 12 miles of corners... bike week is awesome... you can just hear them living it up....
do I think it was the right choice YES because I know me... but I miss the Bike.....

Even if it covered theft they probably would have screwed you:rolleyes: . I had an FZR stolen several years ago...before the YZF came out. I had JUST finished doing thousands of dollars in upgrades....stage III jet kit, vance & Heinz exhayst, etc... I had all the receipts and full coverage and they wouldn't cover chit on the add ons. I was so pissed I cancelled all of my insurance with them.

A couple of years later I got hit on my CBR 900...I stripped the chit out of everything off of it worth money before the insurance company got to it...had stock pipes and everything back on it...I wasn't getting screwed again :(

puder 03-09-2004 09:03 PM

update: Homeowners won't cover it. Between my bike and my brother's were out 15k.

pissed isn't the word.

Sydwayz 03-09-2004 09:32 PM

Sorry to hear this Puder! :( :(

lucky strike 03-09-2004 09:39 PM
