CougarMan- do youhave any pics of the engines in post #91. just noticed it has 8 tips with twins and was wondering what the headers looked like.Lambo V 12's i asume.

I was driving down the road this afternoon and remembered Brownies "specific gravity" comment and got another good laugh out of it man that was a good one.

8 Engines? any pictures of that floating? and I'm sure that one had "specific gravity of 1+"!

The BPM 12 cylinder has 4 3 cylinder manifolds. The 8 engine Cougar had 4 260 hp Merc powerheads on each side, belt driving a shaft driving aSpeedmaster on the transom. It was Popeye's, developed by Billy Sirois and Fred Hauenstein. Boat was treewood. They went so fast that they didn't have time to sink, but they did set the alltime UIM speed record while on fire! That was another reason not to use wood.

...until you think about keeping all 48 cylinders lit (without lighting up the boat itself).
