Back end of Aronow

We remember him for the Cig/Donzi/Formula/Apache'...but sometimes forget his "Aronow"...look at the steps...nice work Don....I didn't know he dabbled with steps...why isn't the aronow as well remembered..looks like a great piece of work/ maybe a blend somewhere between the more robust stature of a cig and the leaner look of a clasic donzi but with STEPS!
...looks like this one may not have steps..i didn't look that closely before sending..sorry
 Doh! :D :D
...well he made aronow's with and without steps...the stepped ones are hard to find I am told...and remember...Aronow didn't have cad/cam...amazing guy...he must have been related to Noah to know what he knew about these boats..

maybe reggie:D

here's my pic of the so called "Gucci" Aronow..not a great shot
How much was the Gucci boat ?
Looks like a notched transome.
Any idea if that is a 32 or a 37? The later Buzzi stretched into the 40 Super Hawaii. |
There is a red one in my area. has some big motors and supposedly goes 100mph.
That stuff was all built by Gary Garbrecht and Bynge Good in beautiful downtown Opa Locka (city motto: Scene of the Crime). Long after DA.
Magic Powerboats from the left side had the molds form those boats. I dont know how many they built or if they still do but I remember seeing a few of them.
How many Aranow cats were there. I know we have one of them at Lake Mead...
Burt is that Aranow cat a 30ft or so with twin Outboards
there was one in Victorville on wed. Motors were painted the Blue/Gray color that is used by "NAVY" Boats. |
No, the Aranow cat at Lake Mead is a 39' inboard. Its been up on a hydro hoist for years, I've never seen it in the water. There was a story about it that it was a V split in half, reversed and put back together as a cat. Does anyone know anything for sure?

burt, thats exactly what Don did. split a cig v hull in half and put in a tunnel. not sure what you meant by "reversed" though. this photo says it all :D  no mistake'n those sides ehh :D :D unfortunatly they did not perform that well but it still a good boat though.
