Selling My Home On The Water
I am thinking of selling my home on the water
I have 3600 Square ft of living area and just 2 of us living here
I am looking at condos on the water a bit smaller and easier to maintain
any good suggestions on sites to sell the house BY OWNER??
I know lots of Realtors but would like to save a couple of bucks if i can
it has been ten years since i have been in the house market and I have sold all my homes By OWNER
Back then wasn't much Internet to use things are different now
I am open to suggestions for sites and best way to promote the house

We sold our house in CA with a sign and a very detailed flyer (description of the house). If you are in a hot area, then it will sell easily.
Expect a lot of calls from realtors and more from the internet guys. Some of the internet people can get you on the MLS and/or Realtor.com for a few hundred buck. However, the realtors will bad mouth or not show your house if they do not get a partial commission.
Closing without a realtor was also very easy.
We saved over $35K by selling ourselves.

do it buy owner......the heck with paying the realtor for it.....put it up by owner for a while and see what happens. as mentioned.....print a description and maybe include some pics. I've seen a lot of people lately sell their house by owner quickly......I'm actually putting mine up here shortly by owner.

Marc, I will help with the Financing. I can Prequal the Buyer for you so you are not wasting time on a tire kicker. Your house will sell no problem. Try and hit the Chicago people. Use the Wall Street Journal RE section to advertise, the phone will ring off the hook. Just get a nice sign out and word of mouth will fly. My service is free to you and the buyer so use me so you don't get used. PM or 616-886-0077 Good luck but you don't need it.
