Ok ... laugh all you want, but I happen to like my Outlaw.
My Uncle owned a Formula in the late 80's when I had a SeaRay Pachanga and I happen to think the Baja is just as solid as the Formula is.

Yeah, it's not a Cig or Nortech, but I haven't inherited or won that money just yet.

Really guys, are they that bad?

For the average Joe that does lake or river boating, Baja seems like a great fit. Pro's and Con's to all I guess.

Saleen367 03-14-2004 02:38 PM

Hey Troutly,

Thought I loved the boat till I saw your tow vehicle.

Damn sweet on both! Are you doing any Poker Runs this summer on the Upper Miss?

yzbert 03-15-2004 06:00 AM

Bad A$$ Just not Apache

thank god:p

97BossHammer 03-15-2004 07:17 AM

Saleen367 - I agree..i happen to like mine.....apparently there are a lot of others out there also. Like you said not everybody can afford a Cig or Nortech, etc etc. Good boats for the money....I couldn't be happier.

How about you??

Final details for the Liquid Jungle Poker Run will be released in late April. Until then I'm sworn to secrecy.;) I will say that things will be stepped up a notch or two and you'll find things will be more user friendly.

Did you see the write up in this months powerboat on the new 245... no wood, fiberglass stringers, , lots of custom builder type options... great job Baja..

IDRPSTF 03-15-2004 09:50 AM

They are actually very nice boats. Composite stringers, Graphics in the Gel. Most have one piece cockpits. They maneuver very well at speed. Take a beating in the ocean, and keep running. The 20 Outlaw is the best "Price Point" introductory boat for ocean use. The 25 Outlaw has a hull that can take an absolute beating in bigger sea's. The 29 has a roomy cabin and cockpit, sluggish as a single, but perfect as a twin. 33 with 500EFI's will run 80 mph and handle bigger sea's. Over all they are great family boats that can handle offshore conditions. The Baja custom shop has created some great paint jobs and interior packages. There are not too many bad things to say about these boats.

97BossHammer 03-15-2004 01:31 PM

I especially like the 30 and 36 outlaw. The paint schemes kinda turned me off for a while...but the latest one's are really impressive.

IDRPSTF 03-15-2004 01:38 PM

And they have there own magazine with drunken, beer gutted, spikey haired Mr. Know it alls in it!!!

Downtown42 03-15-2004 02:03 PM

Hey, that was me in that brochure. Got 475.00 for the model shoot. Ya never know who's reading.
I was referring to the Baja Magazine with the Arizona Poker Run.
They took a picture of me after a few too many Red Bull and Vodka's. Hadn't been to the Gym in months, looked like I combed my hair with my pillow, and was rather intoxicated. They put three pictures in the magazine with me in it. Including a full page spread of me in all my Glory!!!
Not Good.
The day the Mag came out, the picture was posted all over the walls of my office like wallpaper. Damn pranksters in the office.

I am sure your pictures looked better!

Wife and I run around the Wabasha - Lake City area. Regulars at the "Pickle Factory" in Pepin WI.

I'm sure we could find time and a few friends to run your way this summer. I would like to take a weekend on the St. Croix and the wife is always up for something new. :woohoo:
