Getting a title for a boat
Got a boat here, used to be raced, has a certificate of origin from Fla, previous owners never registred it or had a title, how do I get a title. Do I call Enviromental Police and get a new number for the hull(since the boat has no title)? Don't there is any paperwork for it in Fla. I live in Mass. If anyone knows anyone to help me, would be very much appreciated.

If you have the certificate of origin and a HIN on the stern , Mass. should be able to issue a title. I know that's all you need in Jersey. I once bought a new 'Burban in Bradenton Fla. , paid in full with certified check and drove it back to Jersey with the C of O and they isued the title. Those bastiges also took the additional 1% sales tax since Fla was only 5% and Jersey was 6%:hothead:

OH Lordy..... 6 %?..... don't complain to loudly... it's 8.25% here in CA.........:hothead: Plus when the earthquake hit in '94 they put an extra .05 per gallon tax on gas.... they decided they needed it in the general fund after the quake repairs.... :hothead: :hothead:
