What is it with all these APACHE threads that they ALL go into the toiletl. Why can't we all just get along? I have numerous friends in the offshore community that have all makes of boats and we never fight, we just have fun. It seems to me that what all the sh!t is about is everyone looking into everyone else's sh!t. These are custom one off boats, so I gues there are BIG ego's involved, but DAMN, can't ya'll just be glad with what you got?

Personally.....I love Apache boats. Loved em since I was a kid and will continue to. I was amazed at the Warpath boat, and still am. I don't know the whole reasoning behind the bickering back and forth so I can't really speak on that. I do know there is a lot of fuss concerning the Apache name. I still remember when I was younger seeing an apache for the first time....it had the indian graphics down the side and I just remember my jaw dropping at the site of that boat. To me Apache's are kick a$$ boats and they have won their fare share of races too if I remember correctly.

:D Just bustin' on ya... I love Apaches, and I am sure that most would agree that the history behind that boat line and the people involved reads like no other company in the marine biz, period. Everyone likes controversy, squeaky-clean doesn't make for all that exciting reading. The sad thing is that the name - as it stands today - doesn't carry the same character that it once did. If you own an original, you are lucky and have a piece of maritime history that will never be duplicated, but always admired! The (real) players have all moved on to new games and the few that have moved in and tried to pick up the original pieces...:rolleyes: (never mind) I wish Bobby and crew, and Mark M. all the best in their current endeavors and I am sure that they will be very successful, again. Go get 'em boys!;) :) |

If you think Apache gets a lot of riff, try owning a Fountain. 95% of the time the name Reggie can't be mentioned without all the keyboard boat experts putting in their $.02 with the same 10 yr old jokes. And then there are always those that "think" it was funny. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Apache is a nice boat, but it ain't no Fountain. :D :D :D j/k |

Some very realistic comments from alot of very prominent boaters. Bottom line: We have what we can afford to have. Some of us are'nt as fortunate as others when it comes to the $$$ we can spend on the things we love to do. But on the other hand, that does'nt make us any lesser of a person, and we ALL enjoy WHAT WE HAVE, and we're all on this board for the love of OFFSHORE. How bout we all sit down, smoke the PEACE pipe, and let this thread of Mr Tanners be the beginning of the END of ALL the bashing ??? Just my $.02..........Frank |
