Default New Donzi Race Boat

I've seen what I think is the new Donzi Super V running around Sarasota yesterday
and today after 5PM.

Yellow, twin canopies, fast, BIG rooster-tail, VERY loud.

Anybody know anything about it?

I was gonna go out and kick his a$$ (in my dreams), but he was gone before I knew it!

Maybe Spiderman will have some competition this year?

The might have been Lightning Bay's Super V that they plan on racing this year.

Default Phantom?

Could be, I guess.

It was out again Sunday morning at 10:30, blasting in and out of Big Pass.

Definitely twin canopies, and sure looks like a yellow version of last year's red boat, but with a MUCH bigger rooster-tail and louder motors. Sounds sort of like an Outerlimits with big Sterlings, or a Nortech with bower motors.

Very cool, but perhaps not very appreciated by the senior citizens on Sunday AM running 100 feet from shore!

When I hear it coming, I grab my binoculars, but it's gone before I can focus.

Definitely twin canopies.

Looks a lot like Bill McCombs Pier 57 Fountain, but I doubt that he'd have it over here. And if he did, I'd expect it to go to his house, but it didn't: strictly In and out of Big Pass and the Gulf.

just to let you all know, the yellow twin canopies SV is Bill McComb's Pier 57. We have been testing off Sarasota for about a week. The boat will stay in Sarasota. We are getting ready for the upcoming APBA race season. Hope to see you all in St. Cloud. We have a few surprises this year! Anthony Puccio

I'm amazed at how loud stock Vortechs are with pipes through the hatch. Sounded like bigger power to me, but I must be getting old. Of course, I used to think that 1000SC's were "reasonable" in a pleasure boat!
