Florida Dolphins dying ?

I was just watching the world news they said over 70 Dolphins have washed up dead in the past week?

Just heard on the "Today" show this morning (Sunday), that although it is not Red Tide, it is some other type of algae bloom that is responsible. It is also affecting horseshoe crabs as well. They are investigating whether "man" had anything to do with the formation of this algae bloom but for the moment looks like mother nature.

Im sure they will blame it on performance boaters and their high speeds somehow

Yep... I'm sure somehow it will boil down to us. The performance boater... $hit... Why couldn't it just have been the Manatees, then we would have been able to kill 2 birds with one stone... :D

spitfire1 03-21-2004 07:29 PM

I would be more inclined to think that the blow boaters are responsible for this by dumping their lavs into the waterways.....cheap a$$ MOFO's

R Addiction 03-21-2004 10:27 PM

No $hit!!! (no pun intended):p

Location is Northwest Florida, mostly Port St Joe area but (one) as far west as Mexico Beach. Haven't heard about Panama City Beach yet.

Between yesterday and last weekend, I've seen more dolphins out swimming and playing around than in many years...I wonder what the deal is?
